It’s been awhile. Plans don’t always go as they’re planned. Here we are three years after I wrote those two previous posts, and really I didn’t accomplish any of that.

Well I did, sort of; I did have a version of M-Theory: Red Dwarf “in the can” as they say. But I will say that 2020 and 2021 were, contrary to what I thought, really rough as far as my creative ‘mojo’ was concerned.

As 2022 started, I had changed my mind and decided to focus on releasing Impossible Universe. I even wrote and recorded two additional tracks for the album. But, I didn’t get it out. Maybe you all have experienced “creative inertia” — maybe you haven’t. But I can say I got hit up side the head with it. I did some things here and there, but nothing to move forward. It was “easier” to just not do anything. You know how it is; you’re sitting there, watching Youtube, or some streaming show, and you think “I should get up and be productive.” But gravity seems especially strong and you just can’t make the effort to “be productive.”

Yeah, that’s what I got hit with. Not making excuses…well maybe I am, but….

Well I think I’m ready now. As I slowly got back on the “productive” wagon and starting working again final mixdowns, getting the masters evaluated and approved, researching and writing the liner notes, I realized something.

I realized what an incredible, amazing, vast, incomprehensible, beautiful, wondrous, and some might say impossible, universe we live in. I realized that humble though they are, I’ve got 12 songs about that universe that I want to share with you. And hopefully those songs will bring some measure of satisfaction, or happiness, or joy, or whatever to you. Hopefully make your next hour, or day or whatever, a little better.

And so, here we go. Impossible Universe will release this year, finally. More to come….
